OSTEOGENESIS IMPERFECTA

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is an extremely rare hereditary disease. It is often known as 'glass bone disease' because peoples bones are very fragile and tend to break like glass.
This is a portrait series of people who have to cope with this genetic bone disorder a lifetime.

Symbolically, these pictures are created on broken glass.

A project in collaboration with OI-Austria about people who are strong but breakable at the same time - unique and fragile, like their photographs.

Every photograph: Ambrotype on broken glass
Sized 18x24 cm / Edition: unique

Exhibited in galeries and photofestivals worldwide.
